John Kemp (Moderator)

Senior Market Analyst at Reuters London
John Kemp is a senior market analyst specializing in oil and energy at Reuters. John runs a small team of analysts covering everything from industrial metals to grains and Asian commodity markets. Before joining Reuters in 2008, he was an in-house analyst for Sempra Commodities, now part of JPMorgan and Mercuria. His career started at Oxford Analytica, a small consulting company specializing in economics and geopolitics, where he worked on international finance and trade issues. He holds a degree in philosophy, politics and economics from Oxford University.

Victoria Attwood Scott

Ms. Victoria Attwood Scott is the Global Head of Compliance at Mercuria Energy Trading SA.Previously, Victoria worked for Goldman Sachs in the UK where she was a Managing Director and Global Head of Commodities Compliance. Victoria joined Goldman Sachs in 2003, and had previously been a compliance officer at Investec and Barclays Capital. Victoria started her career with Barclays working on the London International Financial Futures and Option Exchange (LIFFE).

As CIO of Vitol, Gérard is responsible for all aspects of IT, including: strategy, application, infrastructure, and market information, as well as streamlining processes.
He joined Vitol in September 1996 from KPMG. One of his first main projects was the design and management of an integrated system (CTRM) to manage Vitol’s global trading business, a system which, in an evolved form, is still the backbone to support Vitol’s trading.
Gérard holds a Master of Engineering graduate from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (Télécom ParisTech), 1986.
Previously, from 1986 to 1996, he worked for CERN (European Centre for Research in Nuclear Physics), Sopra Informatique and KPMG. His experience encompassed a range of projects and consulting engagements, from IT project design, management and business process re-engineering across various business areas.”

Panos Dimitracopioulos

Chief Commercial Officer at Signal Maritime
Panos obtained his MEng degree in 2000 from Oxford University and joined Thenamaris in 2002. He has worked as an operator, freight and demurrage analyst and bunkers buyer before joining the chartering team in 2006, handling Aframaxes and MRs. In 2011 he joined the planning department and undertook the company-wide annual planning project. In parallel he contributed to the design of a new performance management system with a focus in commercial operations. In 2013, he was appointed as head of chartering department managing a team of 14 people handling 46 tankers, 12 dry bulk carriers and 3 container ships. Since April 2014, he is the Chief Commercial Officer in Signal Maritime, a ship management company with strong focus on data analytics.

Olivier Tison

Natural Gas Analyst at Gunvor
Olivier Tison is the lead fundamental analyst and deal structurer at Gunvor’s European natural gas desk in Geneva. Prior to Gunvor Olivier worked at leading European utilities such as RWE and Engie and  experienced the vast transformation of the energy sector in Europe. Olivier holds an MSc in Economics and BSc from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris.

Jeremy Willi

Vegoil Trader at Cargill
Jeremy is a Global Vegetable Oils Trader at Cargill. He joined the company in 2009 as a trainee in the World Trading Unit before working as a macro analyst and then moving to trade a basket of agricultural commodities for financial customers. In 2011, he moved to Brazil working in the grains and oilseeds trading and origination business. Since 2014, he is back to Geneva trading vegetable oils with a focus on soybean oil, also handling a price risk management book for latam customers.
